The Submatriculation Option

Would you like to work towards a master's degree in Bioengineering while you are still an undergraduate?  Doing so is call "submatriculation," and this option is open to qualified students. Students must apply to submatriculate between the end of the sophomore year and the end of the junior year.

The Submatriculation Option

To apply for submatriculation, students need to consult the Bioengineering undergraduate and graduate chairs and fill out the form appropriate to the degree they would like to pursue. Degrees available include:

The Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) in Bioengineering

This master's program is open only to current bioengineering undergraduate BSE students with a GPA of at least 3.0. Students enrolled in this option are able to "double count" up to three courses towards both the BSE and the master's degrees.

The Master of Biotechnology (M.Biot)

This master's program is open to submatriculants from the BAS or BSE degree programs with a GPA of at least 3.0. Students enrolled in this program are able to " double count" 4 courses towards both the undergraduate and master's degrees. Students may not count any graduate courses taken prior to being accepted in the submatriculation program towards the master's degree.
